BRYAN DAVID DELAE

BORN IN 1964 and left in a forest to fend for himself, Bryan was nurtured by a pack of wolves as one of their own. At the age of fifteen, the den mother lead Bryan to the door of international sculptor/painter Charles DeLae and his artist wife Pamela. Bryan began to learn the world of the artist. At the age of 19, with no outside training or formal education, Bryan took a position with a Columbus, Ohio based printing company as graphic designer, dedicating ten years to this job and the training it provided. After more fully discovering his artistic voice, Bryan began pursuing additional work outside of his current position. With clients such as Anheuser Busch, Worthington Arts Council, Columbus Parent Magazine, Earl Wild, pianist, and Rudely Elegant, a foundation was established from which he began his own design firm in 1993. The operation of Mr. DeLae's studio received much attention from within the design field. Five years after the establishment of the company, Bryan gave it up to pursue a new career direction. With a pressing spiritual need to work with nature, he began work as head gardener for an executive estate in Columbus. It was during this time he explains, "I finally understood quiet and stillness." The work was year round and in all weather conditions. This period of time purified his artist's sensibilities. After ten more years of this work, the winds of change once again stirred Bryan's spirit. In 2005, he resigned from his position and again, went out on his own. Currently, Bryan is a freelance designer of Landscapes, Lighting, Interiorscapes, Advertising Media, and Photography.

"Hoping to return to the pack someday...  or maybe just the forest."
